We are excited to announce that abstract submissions for the 13th Fragility Fracture Network Global Congress Porto October 2nd-4th 2025!
Submit your abstract for an oral or digital poster presentation and have the opportunity to share your expertise with colleagues all across the world. There will be prizes for best abstracts and best poster which will be published in Journal Geriatric Orthopedic Surgery & Rehabilitation.
Abstracts need to address at least one of the key areas of the FFN Pillars and can be relevant for an individual who has sustained any type of fragility fracture:
• Acute multidisciplinary care: pre and post-operative
• Rehabilitation and ongoing post-acute care
• Rapid secondary prevention after first fracture to prevent future fractures
• Changing health care through a policy lens
We accept submissions that informed care through one or more of the following:
• Findings from research studies
• Findings from a quality improvement activity
• Implementation strategies that improve care for patients
• Models of care in development or implementation
Submission deadline: March 15th. You will be notified about the status of your abstract during the first week of May.


Abstracts should be a maximum of 250 words and be structured around the following headings: background, methods, results, and conclusion.
The lead author’s primary affiliation will be published alongside the abstract in Geriatric Orthopedic Surgery & Rehabilitation. It will be published in the top 15 abstracts.
