Call for Workshop Proposals
The Global Fragility Fracture Network calls for submissions of proposals to host a workshop at the Congress in Porto, from Thursday 2 – Saturday 4 October 2025.
Workshop description
Workshops need to address at one of the key areas of the FFN Pillars and can be relevant for an individual who has sustained any type of fragility fracture:
- Acute multidisciplinary care
- Rehabilitation and ongoing post-acute care
- Rapid secondary prevention after first fracture to prevent future fractures
- Changing health care through a policy lens
The key area of care in your proposed workshop should be informed through one or more of the following:
- Evidence published or presented in a peer-reviewed format
- A quality improvement activity that is relevant to others beyond your local situation –g. other organization or countries
- The outcomes of an implementation strategy e.g., a state or national change in practice that has produced positive outcomes for patients and health
Workshop Format and Structure
Workshops will typically be scheduled for 90 minutes and include short presentations with time for audience participation and discussion such as case discussion, panel/plenary discussion, group discussions or practical exercises. Priority will be given to workshops that meet the following criteria:
- Include speakers from multiple disciplines and regions
- Consider gender diversity and early career
- Structured for active participation with the audience
- Cover controversial or topical areas of contemporary practice
- Attractive to the various specialties and disciplines of the Fragility Fracture Network membership
Submission process
- Complete the proposal form
- Submit the proposal to communications@fragilityfracturenetwork.org.
PROPOSALS MUST BE RECEIVED BY JANUARY 15th
Please note that there will be a separate Call for Abstracts for free paper presentations in early 2025.
